MEET Dittany “DEE” Zhang Seltzer

Born in Northern China, Dee began her journey far from the path her father once envisioned for her — a life in teaching. After graduating from a teaching college, she chose instead to pursue a career in business. She started in the fast-growing southern city of Shenzhen, where her exceptional talent and determination quickly set her apart. From a sales associate, she rose to become the #1 national sales agent among 700 colleagues and was soon promoted to branch manager for China’s first internet technology company, MeetChina.com.

Seeking new horizons, Dee moved to Japan to pursue higher education and deepen her understanding of global culture. She earned her Master’s Degree in Business from Osaka City University and joined the fashion industry soon after. With her leadership and international perspective, she rapidly became a partner in a Japanese fashion company, managing cross-border business operations and creative collaborations.

In 2010, Dee came to the United States to explore its culture and pursue her long-held passion for design. She studied at FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising) and worked as a jeans designer in Los Angeles. However, she soon realized that her true calling lay not behind a desk, but in connecting with people — through sales, negotiation, and relationship-building. That realization led her to embark on a new journey — real estate.

Starting as a real estate associate, Dee’s dedication, empathy, and natural leadership quickly distinguished her in one of the world’s most competitive markets. Her deep understanding of people and culture, paired with her eye for design and detail, inspired her to create a brand that reflects balance, warmth, and purpose — Sunoom Realty（日月地产）.

The name Sunoom combines Sun and Moon, symbolizing light, harmony, and the dynamic connection between seller and buyer. Under Dee’s leadership, Sunoom Realty has become a trusted name in Los Angeles luxury real estate — known for its integrity, personalized strategy, and cross-cultural expertise.

Having lived in six cities across three countries, Dee deeply values the kindness and support she has received throughout her life. Now settled in Bel Air, California, she lives with her husband, their eight-year-old son, and their beloved dog, Bella. Guided by gratitude and purpose, Dee leads Sunoom Realty with a belief that every home has its own story, and that connecting the right people to the right property can truly change lives.
